Managing Extras as a Host

You control which vehicle-specific extras you offer, their price, billing type, quantity, and description.

Prelaunch: Listings remain private and cannot accept bookings yet. You can prepare extras now for launch.

Add or edit an extra

From the vehicle workspace, open Features & extras and enter:

  1. Extra name
  2. Guest price
  3. Billing type: per trip, per day, or per item
  4. Maximum quantity: from 1 to 20
  5. Description: up to 500 characters

Save the extra, then use Offer this extra to control whether an existing extra is active. Examples can include child seats, cargo accessories, tire chains, or prepaid mileage.

Host share

The current booking engine pays the host 90% of the extras total. This percentage is separate from the vehicle earnings plan:

  • The vehicle's 75%, 85%, or 93% share applies to the adjusted trip price.
  • The 90% extras share applies to selected extras.
  • Delivery is calculated as its own host line.

For example, a $30 extra currently contributes $27 to host earnings before any later adjustment.

Quotes and trip changes

Selected extras are included in the guest's itemized quote. A change in item, quantity, or billing input requires the quote to be recalculated so the guest and host documents use the same frozen amounts.

Payouts

Host earnings from extras are included in the trip's payout calculation. Paid post-trip reimbursements are different: they use the incidental ledger and can create a supplemental payout. See Toll and Ticket Reimbursement.
